Sam is an experienced security engineer with a passion for cybersecurity. He has a strong background in computer science and is constantly upgrading his knowledge and skills through various channels, including Twitter and his personal blog. Sam is a competitive individual with a strong agility in learning new technologies and their security implications. Sam has a diverse range of security and software skills, including DevSecOps, Threat Modelling, Web App Pentesting, OWASP TOP 20, Reverse Engineering, OS security, Web App Development, Code review, and automation tools. He has experience working with leading security tools such as Burp Suite, gdb, Metasploit, Nmap, radare2, cutter, and many more. Sam also has knowledge of Application Security Testing tools such as SAST, IAST, and SCA, and a strong understanding of OS internals, particularly in UNIX-based OS. Currently, Sam is working as a Security Engineer at Hotstar, where he is responsible for ensuring the security of the platform. Prior to this, he worked at F5 as a Security Researcher, where he crafted signatures using CVE analysis and threat campaigns in BigIP. He also worked as a Student Intern at NEC Corporation, where he worked on establishing a VNF chain of trust using blockchain in NFV. Sam holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Pondicherry Engineering College, where he graduated in 2019.
